Bacon liqueur
Recipe for a tincture of nuts
Bakaliowa nalewka is a dry alcohol reminiscent of starka - a traditional dry vodka produced in Poland, Lithuania and Russia.
- 60 dag of nuts (raisins, dried figs, apricots, dates, papaya, pineapple, pears, apples, bananas)
- 2 bay leaves
- 1,5 litres of spirit 95%
- 0.5 litres of vodka
- 0.5 litres of water
Mix spiritus with water and set aside for 24 hours. Pour it over nuts and bay leaves. After 5 weeks, pour off the liquor and pour vodka over the nuts. After 4 weeks, pour off the second infusion and combine with the first one. After two months of clarification, carefully pour off the sediment and filter. The liqueur is best after half a year of ageing.
