Recipe for tincture of węgielka prunes

The węgierki plums are very popular in our country. They have a beneficial effect on the nervous system, mental state, improve the efficiency of the body, improve the functioning of kidneys and intestines. Substances contained in plums neutralize free radicals, so they prevent atherosclerosis and heart diseases and slow down skin aging. Not only fresh fruits have these properties. Dried fruits, compotes and, of course, tinctures have a similar effect.

Liquor made on węgierki plums according to the recipe below has a deep dark-golden color, aroma of fresh fruit and delicious taste.

  • 1.5 kg of coal plums
  • 2 l alcohol 60-65%
  • 20 dag of sugar
  • spices: 2 cloves, pinch of cinnamon, pinch of nutmeg

Peel ripe plums, tear each into two parts. Pour the alcohol over the fruit and set aside in a dark place for 2 months. After this time, pour off the liquor. Add spices and sugar to the plums. Leave for about 2 weeks until the sugar dissolves. Shake the jar every few days. Pour off the syrup and combine with the liquor. After three months of clarification, filter and set aside to mature for 6 months.
