Recipe for rowanberry liqueur
Rowan fruits have a lot of vitamins C, A and PP. Moreover, by increasing urine excretion it makes toxins to be removed from the body faster. It helps in digestion disorders, works beneficially in case of varicose veins of legs and anus. It has a beneficial effect in digestive disorders and strengthens heart function. It is worth preparing a tincture which will help in curing the above mentioned ailments.
- ½ kg ripe rowanberries
- 1 litre of alcohol 50%
- ½ kg of sugar
Remove the stalks from the rowanberries, wash and dry them. Arrange in a thin layer on a baking tray and put into a slightly preheated oven for 15 minutes. Be careful not to let the rowanberries burn. Put the cooled fruit into the jar, pour the alcohol and add sugar. From time to time shake the jar. After three months, pour off the liquor, strain the fruit, leave it to mature for another three months.
Rowan liqueur has amber colour. The taste is slightly bitter.
