Walnut liqueur

Peanut-butter recipe

Peanut-butter recipe

When making walnut liqueur, unripe, still green walnuts are used (so the liqueur should be made in late June and July). Walnut liqueur is characterized by dark color, pleasant taste and aroma. Moreover, it is an excellent cure for indigestion and can be used as an aperitif and after a hearty meal. It warms up perfectly during winter evenings.

  • 6 green nuts
  • 0,3 kg of liquid honey
  • 1 litre of vodka
  • teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 2 cloves

Dice nuts, add spices, pour vodka for a month (note: nuts get very dirty, so you should cut them in rubber gloves). Every few days shake the jar. After that time, pour off the liquor. Pour honey over nuts and set aside for another month. Collect the honey syrup and combine with the liqueur. After a week, filter and pour into bottles. Nalewka nut should mature for about 3 months. So we can enjoy the taste of walnut liqueur somewhere around Christmas.
